Are You Judas Iscariot?

 Who does Judas Iscariot represent?

I will share several details about Judas Iscariot and how he relates to many today. It is my hope that you have an open mind when reading this and leave any pride you begin to feel behind. This post is meant to help many see where they can be going wrong. I would highly suggest you pray to the Father for humbleness so he can help you to clearly see what you need to understand. As always, print it out or have your church do it for you, if you're unable to.

Wealth can come in many forms; like having your ears tickled to your preferences, someone giving you what you want to hear or believe.

(1-3) Judas was one called that became the devil; a betrayer; false accuser.

(4) He’s a follower (“believer”), who’s true intentions are revealed when Jesus’ feet are anointed by Mary. He’s a learned pupil, a thief taking donations for himself from what belongs to those in need.

(5-7) He’s given a morsel of food (God’s word) ...his heart was not right; he turns against Christ (antichrist) and Satan enters in. Son of perdition (destruction). He relies on religious leaders (head/high rank “believers”) who seek to have Jesus killed, taking payment to betray him (buying/selling).

(8-10) False friend. Realizing too late that he betrayed innocent blood, he disposes of the money, realizing there’s no worth in it and hangs himself. He was one who lost his mind to temptation (unrighteousness), in turn he became filled with regret and was later replaced with another.

  • Could his story today be reflective of heads of religions?

Could Judas represent the smaller sects stemming down from them, those taking money from the poor?

  • Could Judas represent a "believer" who is a false friend?

Let’s dig in…

1.        Betrayer...

    • Luke 6:16 Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor (g4273 betrayer).

2.        Called

    • Matthew10:1 And summoning (g4341; call) His twelve disciples, [Jesus] gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

3.        Selected, betrayer; devil enters in…

    • John 6:70-71 Jesus answered them, “Did I Myself not choose (g1586 select) you, the twelve, and yet one of you is a devil (g1228 false accuser)?” Now He meant Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray (g3860 delivered up) Him.

4.        True intentions revealed... learner, embezzler, taking from donations.

    • John 12:3-6 Mary then took a litra of perfume of very costly pure nard, and anointed the feet (g4228 foot stool) of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair (g2359 of the head); and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples (g3101 learner, pupil), who was going to betray Him, said, "Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor (g4434 distressed)?" Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief (g2712 embezzler), and as he had the money box (g1101 chest/donations), he used to take from what was put into it.
Embezzle: to appropriate (something, such as property entrusted to one's care) fraudulently to one's own use.

5.     He had a mouthful (bread/good fruit); heart was not rightSatan enters. Possibly not understanding what he had done to oppose Jesus, he became an antichrist

a.        Received of God’s word, (morsel).

b.       Heart condition failed.

c.       Embezzler; going against Jesus (an antichrist), by taking from donations; money meant ONLY for the poor.

d.      Antichrist: Satan takes him.

    • John 13:27 After the morsel (g5596 mouthful), Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

6.        Son of perdition

  • Isn’t that who Jesus is speaking of here?
  • Was he a false friend, a son of perdition; Satan entered in, and for what cause...money?
    • John 17:12 While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition (g684 waste, ruin, destruction), so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

    • 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it has not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction (g684 waste, ruindestruction), who πŸ‘‰opposes and πŸ‘‰exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the sanctuary of God, exhibiting himself as being God.
  •    What do religions do..."come to me, donate and we'll draw you to God"?
  •    Have you drawn closer to God?
  •    How can you, when you don't know who he is?
  •    What is the Most-High God’ name?
      • Gen 14:22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand unto Jehovah, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,

      • It's in a name like no other…Jesus who carries the seal of God (g2424 Jehovah is salvation). It is through Jesus that JEHOVAH saves.
  • Is it two or three "persons"...what is HIS image: male and female?
      • Genesis 1:27 And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
      • Gen 19:24 Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven;
      • Ephesians 2:18 for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father.
        • 1Ti 2:15 but she shall be saved through her child-bearing, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with sobriety.
        • 1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering (g4018 veil).
  • What does a veil do?
      • 1Co 2:7 but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, [even] the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:
  • Why so many translations of the Bible?
      • When one "who translates" has a bias understanding, they translate it with that bias. If they're wrong, the Bible is wrong. Only the TRUE SPIRIT of God can reveal it to you.
  • How is one truly taught... is it by man?
      • Isaiah 54:13 And πŸ‘‰all thy children shall be taught of Jehovah; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
  • Who is Wisdom?
      • Luke 7:35 And wisdom is justified of all πŸ‘‰ her children.

7.     Leaders (religion) who use money (Ceasar/Satan) to pay off Judas (disciple, one called) who also uses money (Ceasar/Satan) … both betraying Jesus. Sound familiar: buying and selling…asleep virgins.

    • Matthew 26:14-16 Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me to betray Him to you?” And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him. From then on he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Jesus.

(Rich man, poor man…blind guide the blind)

    • Matthew 26:24 The Son of Man is to go, just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.
      • You ‘re to obey God as ruler, not men. (Acts 5:29)
      • You’re to guide the poor to God, not yourself. (Acts 20:30)
      • You're not to be taking money from donations, earning a living from it and misguiding the flock. (Deu 16:10; Amos 5:12)
    • Mat 6:23-24 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (g3126 what is trusted in, treasure, wealth).

Exalted: Your truth above someone else's; turning away any who try to share a different understanding. (Luke 18: 11-14)

The awake church will not rely on religion (any building built with hands); they will solely rely on God. They will not take from the needy, they will only help. Those who buy (pay for knowledge) and sell (take donations for themselves) have the mark of the beast and they are asleep… relying on a church/religion/money (idolatry) instead of God.

    • Mat 25:9 "But the prudent answered, saying, 'No, there will not be enough for us and you [too]; go instead to the dealers and buy [some] for yourselves.'

Blind guides; self-righteous...
    • “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the sanctuary, that is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the sanctuary is obligated.’ — Matthew 23:16
    • Beware of doing your righteousness before men to be πŸ‘‰noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. — Matthew 6:1

8.        False friend...

    • Matthew 26:48-49 Now he who was betraying Him gave them a sign, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him." Immediately Judas went to Jesus and said, "Hail, Rabbi!" and kissed Him.
    • If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. — 1 John 4:20
    • Many will tell you they love you but forget what that means the second you don't tickle their ears with what they want to hear, love going right out the door, revealing their true colors...God's word MUST ALWAYS come first, πŸ‘‰not your preferences.
"A true friend loves at all times."
- Proverbs 17:17

9.        Conscience, Conviction, Mortification with no help from the leaders.

    • Matthew 27:3-5 Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? See to that yourself!" And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged (g519 strangle) himself.
      •    Nah 2:12 The lion tore enough for its cubs And strangled (h2614 hang self) [enough] for its lionesses And filled its lairs with torn up prey And its dens with torn up flesh.
      •    Pro 28:15 [As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear, [So is] a πŸ‘‰ wicked ruler over a poor people.

10.   He bought into a plot with wickedness/unrighteousness, allowing his mind to fall into temptation by a crack, becoming full of regret. Being replaced by another.

    • Acts 1:18 (Now this man acquired a field (g5564 plot) with the price of his wickedness (g93 iniquity), and falling headlong, he burst open (g2997 crack) in the middle and all his intestines (g4698 pity) gushed out.
    •  Acts 1:24-25 And they prayed and said, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

  • Deu 32:8 RSV When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.

I said, “You are gods,

And all of you are sons of the Most High.

Nevertheless you will die like men

And you will fall like any one of the princes.”

— Psalm 82:6-7

  • Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. — Ephesians 6:11-12

For those not ready, who's oil runs out because they need to buy from those selling (religion)…

  • Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the πŸ‘‰ last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation.” — Matthew 12:45
    • Amo 8:6 So as to buy the poor for money And the needy for a pair of sandals, And [that] we may sell the refuse of the wheat?"

    • Zec 11:5 "Those who buy them slaughter them and are not held guilty, and [each of] those who sell them says, 'Blessed be Jehovah. Indeed, I have become rich!' And their own shepherds do not spare them.
    • Rev 13:17 and that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, [either] the name of the beast or the number of his name.
  • Who turned on Jesus? "believers"
  • Who plotted to have him killed? "believers"
  • Who persecuted the Apostles? "believers"

Many will stay away from religion because they see the hypocrisy in it. (Mark 9:42) Persecution comes more from those who "believe" (religious) than those who don't, even the "all welcome" churches can't see how they persecute and hurt people...too blind to see it in themselves, due to arrogance. Counting on those close to them to keep them exalted. People don't leave your churches/religion because your fruit is good, they leave because you leave them with a bad taste in their mouth...bad fruit.

The biggest problem with many "believers": EXULTATION and PRIDE.

Sadly, they go on teaching others to be the same way, siding with the ones they agree with...because their truth can't be wrong. Start looking in the mirror and start seeing your behavior (mind/heart) toward others when you disagree with them. It's not pretty.

Reminder...

  • For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another. For each one will bear his own load. — Galatians 6:3-5

Pride and exaltation, every single religion is riddled with it...

For many are called, but FEW are chosen.”

— Matthew 22:14

  • Be honest... do you really know who Jehovah is?
  • How's your heart condition?
    • Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as Jehovah hath said, and among the remnant those whom Jehovah doth call.

May you be blessed with understanding...
