I've been asked... "Why would Jehovah choose you?" My response "Why not? You believe Jehovah chose 8 men of the GB of JW's, so why couldn't he choose me?" I then asked her to re-examine the recent video put out by brother Lett. That she not just listen to what he says, but to study it, read the scriptures he uses to prove his points. I told her she would soon realize, he doesn't actually back up his teaching with scripture. She said she would revisit the video. It is my hope that she does.

So now to actually answer that question properly...

Romans 9 ~

Romans 9:1 ASV — I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit,

Chosen before they are born, not after being baptized and performing many years in service, as taught by the GB Member of JW - Brother Lett...

Romans 9:11 ASV — for the children being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth,

Romans 9:15-16 ASV — For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that hath mercy.

Romans 9:22-24 ASV — What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction: and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory, even us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?


No one on earth SHOULD EVER QUESTION JEHOVAH or His purposes...
be thankful for the life you have.

Fact ~

On 09/25/11, my father Jose Gomes passed away just before midnight, on my brother Jose Gomes' birthday. Exactly 2 weeks, almost to the minute, after my mom passed away on 09/11/11.

1 Corinthians 12:1-4 and story of Hosea and Gomer.

Romans 9:25 ASV — As he saith also in Hosea, I will call that my people, which was not my people; And her beloved, that was not beloved.



Todays daily text, is a good text for many to reflect on. Only Jehovah knows what someone is truly suffering.


Mark 12:43-44 ASV — And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than all they that are casting into the treasury: for they all did cast in of their superfluity; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Do not think highly of yourselves. Those who deem themselves righteous, have actually become unrighteous. 

How many have been sacrificed? 

How many have turned to the world and away from Jehovah, because of false teachings and doctrines?

Who hold the (blood) cup of the Holy Ones?

Besides myself, here are some examples of JWs who've been persecuted by other JWs and the JW organization. All, because of JW's who not only follow false teachings/doctrines, but they don't practice what they preach.

Have you ever wondered, where do JW's go when they leave the organization? Many turn to the world because they don't know where else to go, but many have remained in Jehovah's good graces and keep preaching.

Here are some examples:

On 3/26/21, while doing some research online, I came across this ex-JW brother whom claims to be a "chosen one" and was disfellowshipped for bringing out discrepancies within the JW organization. It seems he has maintained his loyalty to Jehovah, and continues to preach some truths about Jehovah's Word from the Holy Scriptures and some truths about the wrongdoings in the JW organization.

I also have a clip of someone whom lost her mother, whom died as a devout JW, a "chosen one" that was persecuted by JW's and wrote letters asking for mercy.



I was also told a sad story by someone whom I was preaching to. He told me that he went to my congregation many years ago for the Memorial of Jesus Christ, he is not a JW and whose heart was troubled, very bothered by the witnessing of elders taking it upon themselves to stop someone whom felt they had a heavenly calling "chosen" from partaking. 

Ask yourself...have you ever taken upon yourself to play the role of Jehovah God and stopped someone from partaking or getting baptized? 

I wasn't surprised, they did something similar to me. I was yelled at and told "I was not anointed" (July 2020) I was later told that I could not be baptized because I still felt that I was anointed and I was then silenced. (October 2020) Losing family and friends.

To this very day I remain silenced from the congregation, unable to preach with my brothers and sisters and unable to ask questions or partake in any discussions during meetings. Thankfully, due to the pandemic, they've been unable to stop me from partaking at the Memorial, as the Memorial is now done via zoom from the comfort of our homes. I'm thankful to Jehovah for that.


Do you know the meaning of blasphemy?

*The following articles is incorrect on stating those who committed blasphemy against the spirit. JW.org seems to have no knowledge of what is means to be anointed by HOLY SPIRIT, to be born again and baptized into Christ's death.

They also claim Judas Iscariot (who was called Satan) sinned against the spirit, see here...Their Sins Were Unforgivable

The only ones who can sin against the spirit are any who received it after Jesus Christ...the New Birth. Satan has already been judged and continues to sin against the Holy Spirit.

Here it is...

The choice is theirs on whether not they should partake,  or get baptized...recognize what you're doing is bad and "please repent." (Matthew 5:23, 24) I've already forgiven them. They don't have to do it for me, but they should do it for Jehovah. Jehovah knows those whom belong to Him. No one EVER has the right to make that decision for them... to tell someone that they "are" or "are not" anointed, let alone stop them from partaking or getting baptized.

In the end...Jehovah always provides.

These are just a few examples that I am aware of, but it does make me sad to think about how many more anointed ones have been persecuted by this organization throughout the years, not to mention ALL Jehovah's Witnesses in general who've been persecuted in one way or another and have left.


If you are reading this and are an ex-Jehovah's Witness, please return to Jehovah...not the organization, but to JEHOVAH. You are not alone. We all learn things in a progressive manner, but to get there will depend on your heart condition. (Proverbs 4:18) (Joshua 1:8)

To those whom are currently attending the meetings, please stop listening to what your taught, without investigating it. If you're given a teaching, it's your responsibility to be certain that it is undoubtedly backed up by scripture. If you don't have the understanding of it, DO NOT TEACH IT. When, and only when it becomes clear to you, and you can explain it clearly, should you teach it.

How many of you continue to accept a teaching just because it was given to you by the Governing Body of JW's, and refuse to listen to those whom tell you it's an incorrect teaching? 

The answer: MOST OF YOU.

How many prefer to not investigate it, to be sure it is in-line with Jehovah's Word the Holy Scriptures?

If you're not willing to investigate the teachings of men (1 John 4:1) and you prefer to be lazy or become fearful and go with the explanation of the GB, than you now know whom your God has become. 

Thankfully, Jehovah is merciful and always gives ample time for repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) You, who are held to a higher standard, because Jehovah has allowed this chosen group to have more Bible truths than any other.

The end is soon approaching and you have been warned. Soon Jehovah's attention will be directed to the nations. (Daniel 12:4) Jehovah God is not partial, He loves all of His creation.(Acts 10:34, 35)  Just as the Jews were chosen, you too as "Christians" were chosen for a reason. (Genesis 3:15) Please repent before it's too late. (Revelation 2:16) Time is running short.


STUBBORNNESS

I was asked...
"Why do you still go to meetings, if you don't agree with some of what they do and teach?"

Here's my answer...

Matthew 23:3 ASV — all things therefore whatsoever they bid you, these do and observe: but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not.




I made this for a good friend, one of my spiritual sisters. We reconnected a few years ago, we used to go to the same Portuguese congregation as children. One thing we have very much in common is that we always wait and rely on Jehovah to fix all that is broken.

Here is another book box, I have many more of these, not sure if I will get to them all, but it is my intention. I love to create using the outdoors, one can never have enough flowers and butterflies. She likes pink and sunflowers. I added a mini journal book inside, it has many of her favorite scriptures with several pages for sketching and writing thoughts. I truly hope she enjoys it.

Chosen...Heart Condition

How's your heart condition? 

Isaiah 65:14 ASV — behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit.

Romans 2:28-29 ASV — For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Memorial Morning Worship—M. Stephen Lett: “The Spirit Itself Bears Witness With Our Spirit” (Rom. 8:16)
Excerpts...
  • When Adam and Eve had children, THEY (meaning two sinned) passed on the death sentence.
  • (3 minutes in) "The long dash after 'Romans 5:12 ASV — Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned:—' why is it there? Paul did not complete his thought; he left a cliff hanger" ... "we could say" ... "thereby completing the cliff hanger." 
Please Note: Mr. Lett then gives an assumption - (do not assume this) - "we could say" does not mean "we should say" - please refer to (2 Peter 3:16) if it's not clear to you, please do not buy into it. 

2 Peter 3:16 ASV — as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; wherein are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unstedfast wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

  • (5:20) He then asks, "How does it bear witness?" (Although the answer was already given "the spirit himself bears witness") he then cites examples...
Acts 2:1-3, 37, 38; 8:14-17 Pentecost, thousands on same day of baptism, and after baptism. 
  • Yet, no mention of what happened after that, with Cornelius in Acts 10.
Acts 10:3-4 ASV — He saw in a vision openly, as it were about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in unto him, and saying to him, Cornelius. And he, fastening his eyes upon him, and being affrighted, said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are gone up for a memorial before God.

Acts 10:9 ASV — Now on the morrow, as they were on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour:

Acts 10:47 ASV — Can any man forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we? 

The answer is YES... (GB) Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they can stop one from a water baptism because they have received the Holy Spirit.

  • (9:35) Mr. Lett uses the last example in Acts 8:14-17 as his proof that it can only happen after a water baptism. That is a FALSE STATEMENT... 
  • As stated in Romans 8:16 "The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children."
The scriptures Mr. Lett mentioned, and the example of Cornelius have only proven what happens when one is anointed with holy spirit. Having had a water baptism, or not.

  • (10:10) He then asks again "How does one know clearly they have the calling?" 
  • He cites; "1 John 2:20 ASV — And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and ye know all things."
  • Just like Mr. Lett said, "They know for a certainty."
I agree with that statement, they absolutely know for a certainty.
  • Mr. Lett then cites; 1 John 2:27 ASV — And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.
  • "Anointed ones don't need confirmation"
Yet, to become a JW you MUST confirm and answer the following question...

14. Do you believe that the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is “the faithful and discreet slave” appointed by Jesus?

You must (*bow down) say they are anointed in order to be baptized.

My question to you is "If you're anointed, why do you need confirmation?" Please practice what you preach.

Romans 2:24 ASV — For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written.

  • Lastly... "Jehovah is the greatest communicator in the Universe" 

I stopped watching the video shortly after that. I do agree that Jehovah is the greatest communicator, therefore Jehovah wouldn't have falsely communicated through spirit that 1975 would be Armageddon, then have you later cite; "Proverbs 4:18 ASV — But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day." as to why you did it.

How many have had the heavenly calling and were persecuted, told not to partake or stopped from partaking, written off, and/or told they couldn't be baptized and that they weren't one of the anointed?

What is the "mystery" in Babylon the Great? 
  • Revelation 17:5 ASV — and upon her forehead a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Who hold the cup of the anointed ones and stop them from partaking or "getting baptized"?
  • Revelation 17:4 ASV — And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations, even the unclean things of her fornication,
  • Revelation 17:6 ASV — And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder.

Who sits on many waters, which represent “peoples and crowds and nations and tongues"?
  • Revelation 17:15 ASV — And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

As stated in the blog, as a child I no longer trusted the JW organization, slowly, more and more things continued to happen and I no longer believed they were about Jehovah, I knew deep inside that they were false. I still loved the people, but I no longer believed in the religion. I learned the first biggest lie directly from them, at the age of 7. I remember being pressured into getting baptized. My younger brother and I, whom I was closest to, didn't want to. We both felt the same way, that we didn't want to get baptized because we were going to get the reward of the paradise earth, we only wanted to do it for Jehovah. I felt that if I were to get baptized, it would not have reflected that.

Gradually, feeling I had nowhere else to turn, I turned to the world. By the time I was 13, I was already heavily influenced by music, and that became my escape. We all know how bad of an influence music can have on someone...especially heavy metal.

Today's text mentioned on the JW app, is a good one that many don't seem to understand...A Jubilee is what that 50th year will become for you.​—Lev. 25:11.

What Was the Jubilee?

A jubilee is a special anniversary. The Israelites were to celebrate their Jubilee every 50 years. Starting with the time of entering the Promised Land, the nation of Israel was to count six years during which the land was sown, cultivated, and harvested. The seventh year was to be a sabbath year, during which no sowing or pruning could be done. Seven of these seven-year periods (7 × 7 = 49) were to be counted, and the following year, the 50th, was to be a Jubilee year. Starting the count of years with the entry of the Israelites into the Promised Land, their first Jubilee year began in Tishri, 1424 B.C.E.​—Lev. 25:2-4, 8-10.



Fast forward from 1975 to 2017... 7 years old and now 49 years old.

Fact ~

In September of 2017, JW's started knocking on my door. Since I had left the organization, I only had one visit by two young JW sisters, it was sometime in the mid 90's, I was living in Cranford, NJ. I remember asking them difficult questions, many regarding the holidays. They didn't have answers for me and said they would return. For whatever reason, they never did.

While living in Cranford, I attended Union County College, one of my majors was English. I remember one of our finals had to be a paper on Religion. This was in 1996/97. We sat in class one day, being a shy person, I sat in the back. Somehow a conversation began between me and the Professor, we had a deep discussion in front of the entire class. It was intense, he got up from behind his desk, walked around and leaned on the front of it, asking me questions and with his arms crossed. What was the topic? Jehovah and Jesus Christ. 

I remember all eyes were on me, it was uncomfortable, but I felt a strong need to voice my opinion on the matter. It was not about the JW's, I was still very upset with them, it was about my belief in Jehovah, Jesus Christ and the Bible, it was still very strong. I don't remember all that we spoke about, but as nervous as I was, it was exciting, it was exciting to once again be able to voice my opinion freely, on how I felt about Jehovah, Jesus Christ and the Holy Scriptures. 

Finally, I do remember the professor asking me "and then what?" My answer..."Armageddon." His arms went up in the air and the entire class moaned and groaned. That was the end of it, no more conversation. I was so thankful that right after that, it was time for class be over. It was then that I realized, just how much people don't want to hear about Armageddon.

Continuing forward in 2017, for the exception of that one visit at my door by JW's, knowing how much they go out and preach, it was surprising to me that I never "personally" got a knock on my door again, until now...September 2017. Easy to remember because during that time I was distraught and I had explained to them that my kids had just started high school and were "unlawfully" recruited by the military.

Just want to add a quick note: My mom was still a JW until the day she passed away from cancer on 09/11/11, but she knew how I felt when it came to JW's and never pressured me to return.

Although I had JW's visit me, they still couldn't convince me that "they were the truth." As they preached to me, I preached to them. I was trying my hardest to explain to them how their view was obscured (off). We spoke much about varying religions and judging one group of people from another. After a while, I thought they had given up, because eventually they stopped knocking. 

In 2018, someone left an invite on my door for the Memorial for Jesus Christ. It was to attend that very day, so I knew I wasn't going to make it, but I smiled, it made me happy to think of what it meant. Shortly after though, that smile dimmed, because they also left a pink sticky note that read..."God is going to rid the earth of bad people" it was unfortunate. There was no scripture on the note and I remember thinking "what a horrible note to leave someone, and with no scripture to back it up, on a day that was to be a special remembrance of the sacrifice Jesus gave for us. Anger and resentment resurfaced.

After that, I decided to do intense research on the JW's, determined to prove how false they were. They hadn't returned for a while and eventually, I just gave up and decided to once again, let it go.

So why did I return at the age of 50, in 2019?

Revelation 12:12 ASV — Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.

Fast forward to today. What has Jehovah taught me...we are all imperfect beings. Jehovah has shown me that forgiveness is very important. Jehovah has also shown me, I was right, it's not about religion, (1 Corinthians 6:19) it is about the love I have for Jehovah, Jesus Christ and the Holy Scriptures, also about the love I have for ALL my brothers and sisters in the world, regardless of what their belief or understanding is. (Matthew 22:37-40) Jehovah has brought me back through this chosen group, JW's, because it was a reminder of where I learned about Him and Jesus Christ...I returned to my roots. 

Jehovah will use anyone or anything to do His purpose, even if they have profaned His name... why? 

Because He can...He is the Sovereign Lord Jehovah. Psalm 83:18 He is not part of a (Triune God), He is a God of LOVE. (1 John 4:16-19)
