Missing Link - Memory Block
I went missing as a child, I believe I was (5) in Kindergarten. We were living in the house on Main St. in Newark, NJ. I know it happened at school, my mom had gone to pick me up and I wasn't there. I don't remember where I went. I can only remember from the point of ringing a doorbell and asking for help, that I was lost and that I didn't know where I was going, she didn't help and she kept sending me away. I remember siting on her steps for a bit, not knowing what to do, then after a while, I got up and started walking.
Shortly after, my dad pulled up next me in his old baby blue station wagon with rust spots all over it. I believe it was winter, I keep thinking I had on my furry brown coat with ecru trim on it. When we got home and I walked through the door, I remember seeing my mom on her knees crying hysterically, she was in the hall entrance and my sister Linda was standing behind her with a solemn look on her face. My mom hugged me super tight and kept asking where I had been, but I couldn't tell her, because I didn't know, I couldn't remember.
Till this very day, I still don't know where I went. I believe I lost my favorite green and blue blanket that day, the wool plaid blanket I used to use for nap time in Kindergarten.
There's a reason why this and a few vague memories keep coming back to me. I also remember being asked questions about the bible, I don't know when and by whom but I know it was in Portuguese and that I responded. I remember explicitly giving an answer to a question (unknown) and saying "é do Rei" meaning "it's the King's", next I do remember being asked "como e que tu sabes?" meaning "how do you know?" and then something about pearls and harps, it's all still very unclear.
I do not know who the so called "apostate" was within the JW Organization that announced Armageddon in 1975, I was recently told it was a circuit overseer for the Portuguese congregation, but I could be mistaken, I haven't confirmed it.

Lost and Found
For now, I will stick to my good memories and there are many. I'm very Thankful to Jehovah for them.
